Bona Finish Wood Floor Maintenance Guide
Care and Maintenance instructions for floors finished with Bona Mega/ Traffic or Naturale
Immediate care after finishing has just dried.
The final coating or finish is usually dry to the touch in 1‐3 hours, depending on conditions.
It is advisable, if possible, not to walk on the floor for 8 hours to allow the initial curing process to take place. The full curing process can take up to 7 days. During this time, please treat the floor with extra care, avoiding wearing shoes and laying rugs.
General care guidelines.
Place doormats and throw rugs at doorways, both indoors and out, to help prevent grit and dirt from tracking in.
Use protective pads on all movable furniture to prevent scratching, and when moving furniture, lift and place it into position to avoid damage.
Wipe up any food or other spills immediately with a slightly dampened towel.
Please avoid walking on wooden floors in stiletto-heeled shoes, as they can damage the floor.
Do not coat floors with any maintenance creams or oils unless we recommend them.
